HOW WE STARTED
Gospel music productions actually started out as a couple of people getting together to do a Gospel show. In the process of taking calls for auditions, doing radio interviews, and making many contacts along the way; I would hear the voice of the people. All of them seemed to say the same thing, and that was, "It is time someone did something for the little people". Meaning those that are not Main Stream Gospel artists, but have a desire to minister through their music.

I have ministered in Georgia prisons at the city, county, and state levels for many years. Early on, I would lead songs and occasionally find an inmate to sing. There were very few singers, musicians and occasionally a piano, but we praised the Lord just the same and continued to feed the word.  Over the years, things changed, I do not know if I should call it a blessing, because someone had to be incarcerated, but more singers showed up, then piano players came and now some institutions have a full band and money allocated to buy instruments. Many churches, including mine, would donate keyboards, microphones and mixers and other instruments as well. Some institutions would receive more than others. Now, the state is considering my proposal to have singing competitions between institutions. I really hope that it happens. There are some amazing gifts that need to be recognized.

From time to time, I would bring people from the church into the institutions to sing and play with the inmates. Each time the blessings flowed, everyone would be so blessed that we talked about the service for weeks. And I would notice that each time, there would be someone there for the song services, that would not come out to hear the word.

With the coercion of a friend, I decided to do a show on the outside of prison walls, and to have a music ministry for the sole purpose of catching those that rarely or never went to church, but wanted to hear good gospel music. And by the grace of God, I was fortunate to meet brothers and sisters with the gift of music who wanted an opportunity to labor for God. Subsequently, the birth of Gospel Music Productions Inc. (GMP)

I would like to bring to your attention some scripture from the Bible:
I SAMUEL 16:14
  14     But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.

I SAMUEL 16:15
  15    And Saul's servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee.

I SAMUEL 16:16
  16    Let our lord now command thy servants, [which are] before thee, to seek out a man, [who is] a cunning player on an harp: and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from God is upon thee, that he shall play with his hand, and thou shalt be well.

I SAMUEL 16:17
  17    And Saul said unto his servants, Provide me now a man that can play well, and bring [him] to me.

I SAMUEL 16:18
  18    Then answered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, [that is] cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the LORD [is] with him.

I SAMUEL 16:19
  19    Wherefore Saul sent messengers unto Jesse, and said, Send me David thy son, which [is] with the sheep.

I SAMUEL 16:20
  20    And Jesse took an ass [laden] with bread, and a bottle of wine, and a kid, and sent [them] by David his son unto Saul.

I SAMUEL 16:21
  21    And David came to Saul, and stood before him: and he loved him greatly; and he became his armourbearer.

I SAMUEL 16:22
  22    And Saul sent to Jesse, saying, Let David, I pray thee, stand before me; for he hath found favour in my sight.

I SAMUEL 16:23
23 And it came to pass, when the [evil] spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.

So you see, the gifts that you possess are very powerful, and when you are committed to God, and HE ministers through you, lives can be changed, and souls can be saved.

GMP is only here to stir up the gift in you, hoping you would understand my compassion and that the fire would burn in you also. GMP wants to create a forum that provides opportunities in our local areas for you to minister and then branch out into other states. We need you to help us by becoming apart of our community. God needs you because the gift was given by HIM to be used for HIM. GMP is your vehicle to minister throughout the states.  The time, is now, people need to be relieved from the spirits that torment them. Lets touch and agree to bring deliverance to a needy people.
